My wonderful old Kimi cap. I just can’t imagine ever replacing this, especially not with an (ick!) Ferrari one.

Haha, get yourself a Ferrrrari cap now!

Good to see you’re posting more again. And… I’m *almost* jealous of your 430ex. Been lusting after one for ages, but then a few weeks ago somebody gave me an old (very old) flash unit (no controls, not Canon or anything like that) and then I bought a remote flash controller from Ebay for £10 (basically a little radio unit which you stick on top of the camera, then another little receiver unit which you stick the flash on) and I’m having plenty of fun with it.

And then the last couple of days, I’ve been at the Liverpool Biennial launch, with a proper press pass & all that, taking photos. All the other press togs were flashing away like crazy with their hyper-expensive flash guns and bizarre looking diffusers. I just stuck to high ISO and slow shutter speeds, and I’m really, *really* happy with the results – beautiful light & shade. I no longer suffer from flash envy 🙂

Dan, your blog and pics about your Flash made me itch a little more than I already was to get an external Flash 🙂

So where are these Liverpool Biennial launch pics? Are you allowed to share them or are they top-secret at the moment due to the press pass?

I’m allowed to share the pics… but I have shot 3000 photos in the last 3 weeks, and I have a serious backlog of non-photo work as well, so it may take a while. But rest assured, they will come…
