Pottering around my flat last night, doing some chores, I heard one of the presenters from Sports Tonight say that a motorcross rider was in a coma after a bike accident and they all wished him “a full recovery”. I understand the sentiment but it made me wonder why people say “full” when it’s obvious you would never wish anyone “a partial recovery”.
The reason I was reminded about it tonight? I caught Sports Tonight again this evening and at the end they paid a tribute to 23 year old motorcross rider Jono Porter who passed away this afternoon.
