Firstly, a little note of congratulations to Ryan Pini for scoring Papua New Guinea’s first gold medal in swimming at the Commonwealth Games for the 100m butterfly. Brilliant!
Secondly, I have every faith that Kimi will win the Melbourne grand prix: watch him qualify in P1 then zoom away in to the distance to keep away from the silly little scraps of cars out for a bit of afternoon dodgems. I’d been hesitant to say anything after his third placing in Bahrain.. I knew it wouldn’t last (through no fault of his own of course). It is Kimi’s year. It is. I promise.
What?
No mention of the truly momentous sporting events of the weekend?
In between the riots, the mighty Bulldogs smacked the premiers (literally as well as metaphorically), while the Sydney Shity Rorters with Braith ‘waste of money’ anasta (yes, he who mark and I wanted to chase through paddington on NYE for his disloyalty) tugging at his injured groin every 30 seconds got beaten by an average Storm team.
And Hazem El Magic scored like a million points for the Dogs, and they did it all without Sonny Bill.
As the crowd chant went after Willie went nuts in the 60th minute,
“Give us our trophy back”
as for kimi…I think one needs to finish the race to have a chance.
ahhh. My affinity for f1 is waning. No passioned Niina to make me see the error of my ways. Go Kimi.
