I wonder if anyone else plays the “bing! that’ll be spam” game.
While I’m working, my spam catching mail program* checks my mail servers for emails every 3 minutes. During the day emails come in constantly so I only look in the program every half an hour or so to splat any spam and download the good stuff to Eudora.
As the evening gets closer to midnight, the mail slows down and I only get the “bing!” every 10 or 15 minutes. Before I switch windows to look at my spam catcher, I think “bing! that’ll be spam” or “bing! that’ll be for ME”. If I get it right, I smile. If I get it wrong, I try and guess better next time.
Well.. it whiles away the time.
* I won’t mention/link to it because it’s not an amazingly good one and I’m on the search for a better one.
