take a moment to wander round the streets near your work or your home late one night and peer, without drawing attention to yourself, at the people sitting inside their houses and apartments. the only ones that appear to have their curtains open are those with couples comfortably lounging about – a head on a thigh for instance – but what is going on inside those with the curtains drawn?
and take a moment to sit in a late night food joint where they serve all day breakfast, greasy hamburgers, and diluted fake coffee. how many people just sit staring in to space vaguely. what goes inside their heads in comparison to those that sit in posh restaurants chatting with a table full of comrades all mildly swooshing their glasses about in laughter.
and take a moment to wait at a bus stop at 11 o’clock at night and watch the agitated few glancing at their watches wishing to go home, and then those that are too tired to be bothered.
